Twitter Detritus (05-10)

Another month’s worth of mental flotsam and jetsam in easy-to-swallow tweet-sized bites:

  • 01 – Grandchildren spending the night. Fed them, entertained them, put them to bed. I’m tired.
  • 02 – Took Abi to yoga with me today. She kept up with the grownups. She does a great cow-faced pose. She’s not too keen on pigeon pose though.
  • 04 – Sri Yoga’s summer schedule has plenty of offerings, hard to decide which classes. Looking forward to yoga summer.
  • 04 – Renamed yoga blog to Padawan Yogi Studying the Yoda Sutras.
  • 05 – YJ covers – Back: Say no to camel toe. Front: camel toe. (Subtle but it’s there.)
  • 05 – Small yoga class tonight. Just me and one other student. Have mixed feelings about yoga towel. Hands OK but feet slipped. Kept mat dry tho.
  • 06 – Lovely date tonight – yoga and dinner.
  • 08 – Computer fun this AM. Replaced NIC on domain controller and burned new Linux distros to CD. Time to get on with the Linux migration.
  • 08 – Today is World Naked Gardening Day. Too cold to work nude in my garden, if I had a garden.
  • 09 – On the cheap cable management. I see a trip to Staples in my future.
  • 10 – @spoiledyogi “30 breaths of Shoulderstand everyday.” Sounds like a good idea. I think I’ll give it a try.
  • 11 – Opened up laptop to check the status of my status indicator board only to find no board. That explains why it didn’t light up. Ordered one.
  • 12 – @spoiledyogi “Mom, I’m a kid. I don’t hurry like a grown up”. Love that. Thanks for sharing that gem.
  • 12 – Yoga conditioning class was like boot camp. I will probably do it again next week. I need it.
  • 12 – Parts due in Thursday & Friday. Geek plans this weekend. Let the migration begin.
  • 13 – Abi did pretty well in the grownup yoga class. She’s quite a padawan yogini.
  • 14 – Got some me time tomorrow evening. What to do? Attend a Kirtan or play nude coed water volleyball? Decisions, decisons.
  • 15 – As expected, the Bhakti Vinyasa Project was fun. Luna, Josh & Katy are such great people. Kirtan tonight.
  • 15 – Enjoyed the Kirtan at Yoga Springs. Luna played 2 of my favorite songs from her CD.
  • 16 – Not sure which asana did it yesterday but my back feels great. Must have stretched just right. Now a mantra is stuck in my head.
  • 16 – “In true love, there is no fear. In love there is no fear here.” – the mantra stuck in my head. (I’ve had worse things stuck there.)
  • 17 – Hot yoga seemed hotter than usual. By Savasana, I was ready to melt into my mat in a pool of sweat.
  • 17 – A cute little ass.
  • 19 – Who would play the part of Roscoe in the movie of my life? Maybe a comedic actor? Perhaps a character actor? Have to think about this.
  • 20 – Turning in early tonight…so tired. Yoga was good. Dinner was good, maybe a bit too much. Oh, well.
  • 23 – RT @spoiledyogi: I SO don’t have time to go to yoga this morning… which is why I’m SO going!
  • 23 – Been reading and absorbing The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali. A great read.
  • 23 – Great yoga practice this morning. Meditation & savasana were truly peaceful, would love to have that peace all the time.
  • 23 – Enjoying some quality tempus nudus which will end too soon as I have to mow the lawn and run some errands. I’ll do it albeit reluctantly.
  • 23 – RT @hairykrishna: Learning is borrowed, wisdom is gained only from direct experience. – Osho
  • 24 – Can’t believe I accidentally left work 45 minutes early. Caught in a time warp again. It’s just a jump to the left…
  • 25 – 2 years ago I bid her farewell but she lives on in my heart. Love you, Mom.
  • 25 – Happy Towel Day! (I never could get the hang of Tuesdays either.) Remembering Douglas Adams
  • 25 – “Do something. If it doesn’t work, do something else. No idea is too crazy.”- Jim Hightower (But is it crazy enought?)
  • 26 – RT @spoiledyogi: RT @kathrynbudig “My happiness depends on me, so you’re off the hook.” ~ Abraham Hicks
  • 26 – I don’t miss the person I once was but I’m liking the person I’m becoming. I look forward to meeting him.
  • 29 – “If there’s nothing wrong with me maybe there’s something wrong with the Universe.” – Dr. Crusher, Star Trek: TNG, Remember Me (I like this)
  • 29 – Back into the Yoga Sutras again. This time reading w/o taking notes, letting my mind absorb it naturally. So far, that seems to be working.
  • 30 – The refrain of Waltzing Matilda has been stuck in my head all morning. Where did that come from?
  • 30 – It has begun. Backing up & getting ready to reload the computer. Been putting it off too long. Pain is inevitable, suffering is optional.
  • 30 – The computer is resisting Windows XP. Methinks its time to upgrade the hardware. The computer gods have spoken.
  • 31 – Getting close. Down to 170 from 215. Took 2 years to get there but it looks and feels good. My secret? Eat less, eat better.
