Oh, the shame!

Fred McDowel – You Gotta Move

Today’s Quote: “I really believe in giving young talent a chance. If you believe in the talent, then you don’t have to ‘babystep’ everybody. It has been a personal cause of mine to take talented but inexperienced people and throw them into the deep end, and almost every time they deliver in spades.” — Brad Bird, creator and director of The Incredibles from Pixar

You Gotta Move (Fred McDowel) was covered by The Rolling Stones on their classic 1971 album Sticky Fingers. And I stand corrected again. This song was the only non-Jagger/Richards song on the album. Can’t You Hear Me Knocking? was a Jagger/Richards tune. I really need to take remedial classic rock. I guess I can start by cataloging my albums and putting them into a database. By the way, I have posted a comment to my May 19th post noting the correction.

If only some people would take that chance with me before putting my resume in the shredder.
